Cuttack: In a tragic incident of fire in Cuttack, a shop in Choudhary Bazar area has been completely reduced to ashes, said reports on Monday. According to reports, the fire occurred in the shoe shop at Rahim Khan lane of Choudhary Bazar.
The shop allegedly belonged to one Subha Sankar Pradhan of Jaisal area in Jagatsinghpur. The house owner in which the shop is situated has been identified to be Rini Mohanty of Choudhary Bazar area in Cuttack.
The locals spotted smoke emanating from the closed shop and immedietely alerted the fire services department. The local fire department reached the spot without much delay and were engaged immediately in the fire fighting operation. Later, the fire was completely extinguished. But by then the goods in the shop were engulfed in the flames. The estimated cost of the property is yet to be calculated.
However it is worth mentioning that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained and is being assessed by the firefighters. Detailed reports awaited in this regard.
Recently on July 13, a massive fire broke out in two hospital at Cuttack in which the life of a 11-day old infant was lost.
