Fake Additional SP arrested in Bhubaneswar
The Kharvel Nagar Police in Bhubaneswar on Friday arrested a man on charges of duping several people by impersonating an Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Bhubaneswar: The Kharvel Nagar Police in Bhubaneswar on Friday arrested a man on charges of duping several people by impersonating an Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP).
According to reports, the arrested fake Additional SP who has been identified
One Rajnikanta Mohanty reportedly damaged the vehicle of a resident of the Unit-III area and threatened him by identifying him as Additional Superintendent of Police.
Following this, the resident lodged a complaint at the Kharvel Nagar Police station seeking action against Mohanty. Based on which, police initiated a probe and arrested Mohanty and forwarded him to the court.
Police probe also revealed that Mohanty used a fake identity card to establish his false credentials and cheated several people in across the State Capital City.
Further probe into the matter is underway.
