The impact of the Odisha bandh call given by various opposition parties has affected the silk city of Berhampur. Shops, buses, truck traffic, petrol pumps, educational institutions etc. are closed.
Bhadrak:
Congress leaders and workers stopped the Bhadrak-Daspalla MEMU train at Bhadrak railway station. All shops and markets in Bhadrak Schools and colleges closed. Congress workers and leaders blocked National Highway No. 16 at Banta Chhak. Large police force deployed to maintain peace and order. Congress observed the 12-hour bandh, blocked Basudevpur Dhamra and Basudevpur Bhadrak roads,
Sambalpur
