ED attaches assets of Sura, Sarathi worth Rs. 26 cr.

Cuttack: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached property worth Rs. 26 crore belonging to jailed self-proclaimed godmen Sura Baba and Sarathi Baba on Tuesday.

ED sources said of the total property of Rs 26 crore, Rs 14 crores belonged to Sarathi Baba and Rs 12 crores to Sura Baba.

The decision was taken at an important meeting of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on black money held at the residence of Justice Arijit Pasayat, Vice-Chairman of the SIT today.

As many as 17 senior officials of eight investigating agencies attended the meeting. N. Barua, the director of Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) attended the meeting for the first time.

The SIT is slated to submit its seventh report to the Supreme Court next month.
