Earthquake in Puri of Odisha today a rumour, no seismic activity in State on Monday, watch
Neither the National Centre for Seismology has reported any earthquake in Puri, nor has the Bhubaneswar MeT centre said anything about this
Puri: There was no earthquake in Puri of Odisha on Monday morning. It reportedly is a pure rumour. Some media outlets including nation channels had reported that an earthquake of 4.7 magnitude took place in Puri today.
The National Centre for seismology in last 6 hours has reported 2 earthquakes – one in Delhi NCR and the other in Siwan of Bihar. Yet, the National Centre for Seismology has not reported any earthquake that too place in Puri of Odisha today.
Apart from that even the Bhubaneswar MeT Centre has also not mentioned anywhere about occurrence of any earthquake. Even no individual from Puri has said about their experience of any thrill today.
Hence, it is time now to think about that who reported this news and for what. Is there any other reason behind spreading such a rumour?
