Dhenkanal: Prafulla Kumar Mallick, the former MLA of Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district of Odisha has been suspended from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for anti-party activities.

Prafulla Kumar Mallik, Ex MLA Kamakhyanagar, District Dhenkanal is hereby suspended from Biju Janata Dal for his involvement in antiparty activities with immediate effect – reads an order issued by Pratap Jena, Vice President, Headquarter’s of BJD, Odisha on Friday.

It is to be noted that yesterday Pratap Jena had describes Prafulla Mallick as the “Most Opportunist Leader in a Century”

In a scathing attack, the senior BJD leader and former minister Pratap Jena branded former Minister Prafulla Mallick as “the most opportunist leader in a century.”

Jena said Mallick was elected four times on a BJD ticket, with party supremo Naveen Patnaik himself campaigning for him. He was also made a Minister, entrusted with key portfolios like Works and Mines.

“But after the party lost, he has started speaking against the very party that nurtured his political career. This clearly exposes his opportunism,” Jena remarked.
