Deceased MBBS student Chandrika’s boyfriend OAS officer Bhimsen Tudu arrested
The Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested OAS officer Bhimsen Tudu, the alleged boyfriend of deceased MBBS student Chandrika Hembram.
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested OAS officer Bhimsen Tudu, the alleged boyfriend of deceased MBBS student Chandrika Hembram.
Commissionerate Police arrested Tudu based on the complaint lodged against him by the family members of Chandrika Hembram. They had alleged that the OAS officer was responsible for the circumstances that led to her death.
It is to be noted here that the OAS officer had approached the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail and was allegedly been hiding in Mayurbhanj district following the murder of the MBBS student. However, Commissionerate Police intensified its investigation and apprehended him today.
Chandrika was found dead near the Trisulia Overbridge on June 4 triggering widespread concern.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
