Cyclone Fani: Death Toll Touches 64 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The death toll due to cyclone Fani has touched 64, the state government said today. Puri, the worst affected district accounted for 39 deaths followed by Khordha and Cuttack with nine and six deaths respectively.

As per the latest report, human casualties so far have also been reported from three other districts of Kendrapara, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj.

While as many as 25 people died due to wall collapse, 20 people died due to fall of tree, electric pole and hoarding. Similarly, six people were killed due to roof collapse. Besides the cause of death of 13 others is yet to be ascertained.
