Bhubaneswar: There has been confusion regarding sale of land in Odisha since a few days. This was discussed, said Minister Suresh Pujari on Tuesday.
According to reports Minister Suresh Pujari told that, “There has been some confusion regarding the sale of land and the common people are not able to sell their land.” He further added that, “There is a central law called the RERA Act to regulate it (sale of land).”
He further said that, “There is confusion and because of that people are not able to sell their land and the government is also receiving less revenue…” The officials of the RERA Act, Development Authority Act and Apartment Registration Act were present (in the discussion).
A discussion took place regarding the shortcomings of these acts and the amendments they need. Further details awaited in this matter.
