Commissionerate Police intensified enforcement against black-marketing of match tickets
A total of four accused persons have been apprehended and served with notices under the relevant provisions of law.
Cuttack: In the run-up to the India vs South Africa T20 cricket match scheduled to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Tuesday, Commissionerate Police has intensified enforcement against black-marketing of match tickets.
During the special drive:
- Bidanasi Police Station has registered two cases, in which 12 tickets being sold at inflated rates were seized.
- Dargha Bazar Police Station has registered two cases, leading to the seizure of 9 tickets.
A total of four accused persons have been apprehended and served with notices under the relevant provisions of law.
Strict action is being taken against individuals involved in black-marketing activities. Commissionerate Police urges citizens to report any unlawful sale of tickets to the nearest police station.
