Cold storage to be set up in 58 subdivisions of Odisha: Dy CM KV Singh Deo

Bhubaneswar: Cold storage to be set up in 58 subdivisions of Odisha, said Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo today in the Assembly. It is to be noted that the winter session of the Assembly has commenced from yesterday. Today the Deputy CM said this while answering a question during the question hour.

As per reports, today is the second day of the Assembly’s winter session. The question hour is going on smoothly today.

While answering a question raised in the Assembly today, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo said that the government has planned to set up cold storages in 58 subdivisions of the state.

He further intimated to the house that work is underway in this regard. The Agriculture Minister said that hybrid cold storage will be set up in PPP mode as required.

On the other hand, it is likely that the BJD may challenge the government on the issue of food security scheme in the state during the zero hour.

The BJD has given adjournment notice on the issue of the 3 deaths allegedly due to eating mango kernel in Kandhamal.
