Cobra gets trapped inside cage after killing two birds in Banki
A four-foot-long cobra got trapped inside a bird cage after entering it and killing two birds in Banki area of Odisha's Cuttack district on Wednesday.
Banki: A four-foot-long cobra got trapped inside a bird cage after entering it and killing two birds in Banki area of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Wednesday. The bizarre incident took place at the residence of a local resident Pradipta Kumar Das near Banki hospital road in Cuttack district.
The snake reportedly entered the cage, which was hung on the Veranda of the house then the reptile killed the two birds and ate them. After feasting on the birds, the snake tried to escape from the cage but got trapped inside the enclosure.
After repeated failures, it got angry and started hissing inside the cage, which alerted the family. The family members were frightened after witnessing it’s aggressive movements and repeated hissing sounds, so they alerted the snake rescue team for help.
Members of the State Snake Helpline soon reached the spot and safely rescued the cobra from the cage. The snake was later released into a forest.
