CM urges PM for early construction of Institute of New Energy & Innovation

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on Tuesday, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to intervene and facilitate the early construction of the proposed National Institute of New Energy and Innovation in the city.

“In order to promote research and innovation in the RE sector, MNRE had decided to set up a National Institute of New Energy and Innovation in Odisha. However, MNRE is yet to take possession of the land and start construction of the building,” the letter read.

Stating that Odisha had taken several steps in accordance with the National Development Goals in the renewable energy sector, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has already allotted 73.86 acres of land for free near IIT, Bhubaneswar.
