CM Naveen Patnaik to hold review meeting to assess COVID situation in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to hold a review meeting on Tuesday to assess the current situation of COVID-19 in the state at 5 pm.
According to reports, the review meeting will be attended by the Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, the Health Secretary, and senior officials from the Department of Health.
There has been an alarming rise in Covid cases in Odisha today with 680 positives including 263 from Khordha and 119 children. Among the 680 positives, 397 are quarantine cases and 283 are local contacts.
Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sealed the DCP office at Vani Vihar for a period of two days from January 4 to January 5 after four officials detected with positive for Covid-19.
Similarly, the Puri district administration has declared Hotel Sona International and its vicinity as a micro containment zone in the city following the detection of three Covid Omicron cases.
It is noteworthy that currently, the total Omicron tally stands at 37 in Odisha.
