Class 5 student washed away in Koel River of Rourkela, search op underway to trace out

Rourkela: In a tragic incident a Class V student washed away in the Koel River of Rourkela today afternoon. After the incident a rescue operation has been initiated to trace out the missing boy.

The identity of the boy is yet to be ascertained.

As per reports, four friends had gone to the Koel River in Rourkela in Sundergarh district of Odisha on Sunday afternoon. When they were taking bath, somehow leg of the said student slipped and he was pulled away into the deep River. They were taking bath at the Hamirpur ghat of the river.

After getting information about the incident, the fire brigade reached the spot and started a rescue operation to find the missing student.

Along with the fire brigade, the rescue team of OSAP in the city is also involved in the rescue operation. The squad members of the ODRAF team are executing a wartime basis to rescue operation to trace out the student before sunset.
