Bhubaneswar: Citizens will conduct their own survey for their own residential houses so that no eligible beneficiary will be left out. This was said by Odisha Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Nayak in the context of the Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY).
As per reports, the minister said that citizens will analyse their eligibility themselves to get the benefit of the PMAY scheme.
He also said that priority will be given to the disabled and widows to provide the benefit of the scheme.
Eligible beneficiaries will be searched and found out and will be provided houses. Real beneficiaries will get the houses under this scheme. Hence, they will conduct their own survey to see whether they are eligible or not.
A survey will be conducted in villages in this regard starting from December. The survey will be completed within two months. During this period, along with training, tips will also be provided on how to check the status of the application online, the Minister informed.
