Rourkela: The 5T chairman reviewed the cholera cases in Rourkela on Tuesday via video conferencing said reliable reports in this regard. As per reports, at least ten people have lost their lives due to the severe diarrhoea.
It is worth mentioning that within a span of a weeks time there have been ten deaths due to the cholera cases in Rourkela of Sundargarh district in Odisha. The situation has caused and alarm among local people.
The district administration along with the health department has initiated necessary precautions in this regard. Over 300 people have been affected with diarrhoea in Rourkela. Reports say, a special team comprising of experts from Bhubaneswar has arrived in Rourkela to assess the situation. Today the Health Director of Odisha shall visit Rourkela.
However it is worth mentioning here that, the exact reason behind the outbreak of Cholera is yet to be ascertained. Further details awaited in this matter.
