Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khilla narrowly escapes as big tree falls on his car

Malkangiri: Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khilla had a narrow escape after a big tree fell on his vehicle on Wednesday in Malkangiri district of Odisha. The incident took place near the Valve House Square on the Chitrakonda Ghati stretch when the MLA was on a visit to the Doraguda area of Chitrakonda block.
As per reports, a huge tree suddenly broke and fell directly on the MLA’s moving car. The vehicle was trapped under the tree for some time, leaving the MLA stuck inside. Thanks to the presence of mind shown by his representative Isak Khosla, the MLA was safely rescued from the mangled car. No injuries were reported.
The incident occurred while Kalbaisakhi conditions have been battering parts of the district for the last 2-3 days, uprooting trees and damaging houses and vehicles.
