Carbon monoxide gas leak in Jharsuguda, 1 dead and 5 critical
Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident one worker died and five other have become critical in a gas leak in Jharsuguda at a private plant. According to reports on Tuesday, there was a carbon monoxide gas leak in the factory.
One worker identified as Barun Pradhan aged around 38 years of age has lost his life in the gas leak in Jharsuguda district of Odisha. As many as five people have been critically injured in the incident. All of them have been rushed to a private hospital (nursing home) in Jharsuguda for treatment.
The deceased Barun allegedly belongs to Kechabalala area of Brajrajnagar block in Kendrapara district. He was a contractual worker of the company, said reports.
Recently on June 30, a massive fire took place in a paper factory in Bolangir district of Odisha. Property worth lakhs had been gutted said reports.

However, due to the fire that broke out in the warehouse, the fire spread quickly because of the paper and various types of chemicals. As the factory was small, there were no safety measures in place.
