Bus accident in Kendrapara of Odisha 10 injured, rescue underway

Kendrapara: There has been a bus accident in Kendrapara district of Odisha and as many as ten people have been injured, said reports on Thursday. A passenger bus crashed into an oil tanker said reports.

The accident took place on National Highway No. 63 at Hazari square under Marshaghai area police jurisdiction of Kendarpada. The injured have been rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital (DHH).

On July 29, as many as 15 people including the driver were injured after a passenger bus hit tree in Jaleswar of Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday morning. The incident occurred near Putura Chhak under Singla police limit of the district.

According to sources, the bus was en route to Balasore from Baliapala carrying nearly 30 passengers on Monday morning when it lost control and hit a tree. Out of the total, at least 15 were severely injured.

The front side of the bus got totally damaged in the accident while passengers remained stuck inside the bus. Locals present at the scene immediately informed the police, rescued the stuck passengers and rushed the injured to nearby hospital. On receiving information, Singla police reached the spot and initiated investigation into the matter.
