BMC Corporator Amaresh Jena arrested by Commissionerate police from Balasore
BMC Corporator Amaresh Jena was arrested today by the Commissionerate Police from Balasore's Nilagiri area.
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have arrested Corporator Amaresh Jena from Balasore. He was arrested today from the Nilagiri area of Balasore.
According to information, a complaint was filed against Corporator Amaresh Jena alias Bayan for sexually assaulting a minor on the pretext of marriage. The FIR also mentioned that he had got the girl abort the child. In this regard, Laxmi Sagar Police Station has registered a case under Section 64(2)(M), 89, 296, 351(2) of the BNS and Section 6 of the POCSO Act-2012 in Case No. 394.
Earlier, five associates of Corporator Amaresh Jena (Baiyan) were arrested for helping him break the jail in Laxmisagar police station. Police have taken strict action against the 5 accused for their helping Amaresh Jena in escaping from the prison.
The accused have been identified as Vivek Kumar Swain, Vikram Mohanty, Devendra Kumar Bhola, Suman Kumar Sahu and Rajiv Champati. Various sections of the BNS and POCSO sections have also been registered against them.
In February 2024, after she informed him that she was two months pregnant, Bayan cleverly aborted her pregnancy. He said that things were not going well with my wife. He said he will file a divorce in a few months and aborted the pregnancy.
He also promised her that after the divorce, he will marry her. After that, the girl aborted the pregnancy. Even after the abortion, both of them went to different places and had relations as before.
Then, in April last year, Bayan took the girl in his car and suddenly snatched her mobile phone and asked her to stay away. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about their relationship and the incident. Regarding which the girl filed a complaint against Bayan at Laxmi Sagar Police Station.
