BJP will win 120 Seats in Odisha in 2019 Polls: Amit Shah

Jajpur: On the second day of his three day visit to Odisha, BJP President Amit Shah claimed that his party would win at least 120 seats out of total 147 constituency segments in the state in 2019 elections, while addressing a mass gathering at Panikoili in Jajpur district on Wednesday.

Today, Shah began his journey from Bhubaneswar and first reached Chhatia, from where he was escorted in a huge bike rally to reach Maa Biraja temple, principal goddess of Jajpur. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, BJP State Unit President Basant Panda, BJP’s Odisha In-charge Arun Singh and other senior leaders accompanied Shah during his visit to Biraja temple.

Thereafter, the party chief attended “Mo Booth, Sabuthu Majbooth” programme at Arei village, aiming to strengthen the saffron party at the grassroots level in the state. Then, Shah took his launch at a Dalit residence at the same village.

Later, Shah visited Panikoili to address the party workers, where he claimed to win two-third majority in 2019 assembly polls.

The BJP boss also slammed Naveen government for the backwardness of Odisha and assured the people to make the state prosperous if BJP comes to power in 2019.

“Odisha is rich in water, minerals and has a vast coastline, but remains poor. It is also one of the states with largest-growing youth population but the state is still ‘far behind’ in terms of development under the Naveen Government”, said the BJP president. “BJP will change the fate of Odisha in five years if comes to power.

The BJP Chief also claimed that the Narendra Modi Government has so far given around 4 lakh crore rupees to Odisha in the last three years under various schemes, and said the Naveen government has however miserably failed in utilising all those funds.
