Bhubaneswar: CCTV footage of scooty theft in Bharatpur surfaces

Even after the locals have filed a complaint with the Bharatpur police station along with the CCTV footage, no result has been obtained as of now.

Bhubaneswar: The CCTV footage off the scooty theft that had taken place 2 days before in Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar in Odisha has surfaced. In the footage it has clearly been seen that two thieves taking away the scooty.

The residents of Bharatpur area has lamented that though a series of thefts have taken place in broad daylight right behind Bharatpur police station, in the last few days, Police are yet to take any action in this regard to stop theft.

Two days ago, two young boys entered the colony in the name of plucking flowers, but stole Sanjeev Pradhan’s scooty. The CCTV footage of this theft has been captured.

Even after the local public filed a complaint with the Bharatpur police station along with the CCTV footage, no result was obtained.

Apart from the complaints of the people, some drug-addicted anti-social people from Bharatpur slum are stealing from different places in the colony every day for the sake of addiction, the residents have complained.

Due to negligence by the BMC, almost all the street lights in the colony are out of order, which is being taken advantage of by local anti-social people, they further complained.

Bharatpur G A Colony is mostly inhabited by senior citizens after retirement, who now feel unsafe. They have complained that if we are not safe even though there is a police station near our house, then it is clear what the condition of others is.

They have requested the higher authorities to investigate this and take appropriate action.
