Bhubaneswar: Guest injured in sword assault while settling husband-wife conflict
The weapon used in the attack has been seized. And the attacker has been detained.
Bhubaneswar: Mediation in a domestic dispute turned costly for a guest in the capital city of Odisha.
The guest, identified as Dillip Acharya had come to resolve a husband-wife dispute. He was injured with a sword blow during the mediation and has been admitted to hospital.
Commissionerate Police are at the crime spot. Police investigation is underway with the help of a scientific team. The weapon used in the attack has been seized.
The scientific team has collected circumstantial evidence.
Yesterday in Lane-1, Mahavir Colony under Lingaraj Police Station limits, guest Dillip Acharya had come to resolve a dispute between husband Anil Nayak and his wife. While trying to settle the fight, father-in-law Nirmal Nayak got angry and attacked the guest with a sword.
Commissionerate Police have now arrested the accused father-in-law.
