Bhubaneswar: 1 person injured as miscreants open fire at Tamando Bazar, 5 detained

Bhubaneswar: At least one person was injured in the capital city of Odisha today as miscreants opened fire. The incident took place in Tamando Bazar.

As per reports, one person sustained after the miscreants opened fire. After getting information Police reached to the crime scene and took control of the situation.

The reason behind the gun shot is said to be over repairing of vehicle.

Tamando Police have detained at least five persons in this connection. As per reports, a number of criminal cases are pending in different Police Stations in the name of these detained miscreants. Further investigation of the case is underway.


Tamando Police along with the Zone ACP have reached the spot and probe is underway.

The detained persons are Manas Kumar Sahu, Sushanta Pradhan, Sarbeswar Seth of Nayagarh area. Another detainee Rajesh Kumar Bila is from Khordha area while another one Chitta Ranjan Mallick is from Aul area of Kendrapara district.

The Scientific team has also reached the spot and investigating the case.
