Bank Fraud: Farmer loses Rs 1.59L from his account in Kendrapara, case lodged
Kendrapara: A case has been lodged at Rajkanika Police station against bank branch manager after Rs 1.59 lakh has been allegedly withdrawn from the account of a farmer without his knowledge in Kendrapara.
The farmer, Dharanidhar Nayak of Patuli village had taken loan of Rs 1.59 lakh from Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank in Rajkanika. The loan money was credited to his account. But, when he went to withdraw the amount from his bank. He learnt that the money was already withdrawn.
Immediately, he approached the bank manager and inquired about the issue. As he did not get a satisfactory answer, he lodged an FIR in this connection at the Rajkanika police station.
The branch manager of the Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank refuted all allegations and informed that the matter will be revealed after the police will investigate into the matter.
On basis of the FIR, the cops reached the bank and started a probe into the matter.
