Baliguda: Autorickshaw driver kidnaps girl, gangrapes her with two friends repeatedly for six days
Police rescued the victim from the rented house and admitted her to the Baliguda Hospital for treatment and arrested the trio for repeatedly raping the girl for six days.
Baliguda: An Autorickshaw driver and two of his associates were arrested on charges of kidnapping a girl and gangraping her repeatedly for six days in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.
Reportedly, a young woman from Baliguda police station area came to Baliguda town to buy medicine on May 11. After buying medicine, she was waiting for the bus near Trivedi Park to go to her village.
In the meantime, an autorickshaw driver reached there and asked the young woman where she was going. After she told her the address of her village, he assured to drop her in her village. But instead of taking her to her village, the accused autorickshaw driver forcibly abducted her to a rented house in Baliguda and locked her in a room. Later, he repeatedly raped her and even took two of his associates to the rented house to rape her repeatedly for six days.
Some people near the rented house became suspicious and heard the screams of the girl and informed the Baliguda police about it. Soon, a team led by Baliguda IIC Sambit Swain immediately raided the rented house on May 17 on the instructions of Baliguda SDPO Ramendra Prasad.

The Baliguda SDPO said that the victim’s health condition is stable and she is safe. Strict action will be taken against the accused persons, he informed.
