Bhubaneswar: The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) was launched in Odisha today. Union Health Minister JP Nadda launched the scheme at a program organized at the Baliyatra field in Cuttack.

Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab, Sundergarh MP Jual Oram, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling and many members of the cabinet were present on this occasion.
Speaking on this occasion Odisha Health Minister said that today is a historic day for the state which will be written in golden letters.
Today, 40 lakh people in the state are connected to this public dedication ceremony on various platforms. They are watching it.
Three crore 50 lakh people in the state will benefit from the Ayushman Jan Arogya Yojana. From Kashmir to Kanya Kumari, the residents of the state of Odisha will be able to get free treatment.
The previous government did not implement this scheme deliberately. The previous government did not implement it thinking that the Modi government would take the credit. But they took money from the central government and spent it in other areas.
He thanked Union Health Minister JP Nadda for being present on this occassion.
