ASI of Sambalpur Town PS suspended for stealing cough syrup, watch

Sambalpur: A cop has been suspended for stealing seized cough syrup in Sambalpur of Odisha on Friday. An Assistant Sub Inspector of Police at the Town PS of Sambalpur has been suspended for stealing cough syrup.

The suspended Sambalpur Town Police Station ASI has been identified as Bidyut Panda.

According to information, the town police seized about 15 thousand bottles of cough syrups and kept them in the police station’s Malkhana.

Allegedly, ASI Bidyut Panda cunningly kept two of the boxes of cough syrups elsewhere.

After other officers filed complaints in this regard, the Sambalpur SP investigated and suspended ASI Bidyut Panda and seized the said two boxes of cough syrup.
