Army Chief Bipin Rawat visits Srimandir, seeks blessings

Puri: Chief of Indian Army General Bipin Rawat visited Puri Sri Jagannath Temple and performed a darshan of the holy Trinity today.

Rawat who landed at Talabania along with his family in a special helicopter of Indian Army is scheduled to visit Army Air Defence College located in Gopalpur for an inspection.

Talking to reporters soon after offering puja at the Srimandir Rawat said he felt a deep sense of mental peace and tranquility inside the temple during the visit and prayed for the well being of all.

“I sought blessings for all including me, my family, the country and our forces. I prayed the deities for a happy and peaceful lives for jawans and their family members along with safety and security for the country”, informed Rawat.

The Army Chief left for Raj Bhavan located in Puri town following the temple visit.
