Angul records highest temperature of the day as 5 places report temperature close to 40 degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Angu recorded the highest temperature of the day as five places of Odisha reported a temperature close to 40 degree-Celsius today.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, a temperature of 39.7 degree Celsius was recorded in Angul. This was followed by Sonepur (39.5), Baripada (39.2), Titilagarh (39) and Boudh (39)

While Sambalpur witnessed a temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius, Bhadrak recorded 38.2 degree Celsius temperature.

Likewise, the State Capital City, Bhubaneswar, sizzled at 38.1 degree Celsius, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Talcher recorded a temperature of 38 degree Celsius today.

The lowest temperature of the day was recorded in Gopalpur, which witnessed a temperature of 32.6 degree Celsius, said the weatherman.

The weather department also has predicted that the day temperature is likely to rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celcius by the next 2-3 days.
