All anganwadi centres and schools across Jagatsinghpur district will remain closed tomorrow in view of heavy rainfall waning in the district, announced District Collector J Sonal.
Jagatsinghpur: All anganwadi centres and schools across Jagatsinghpur district will remain closed tomorrow in view of heavy rainfall waning in the district, announced District Collector J Sonal.
According to the District Collector, the decision to close all types of government, government-aided, privately managed schools in elementary/secondary/Higher secondary level/Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAVs)/Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the district will remain closed tomorrow (on Monday).
In another order, the district collector said, “In view of the weather warning issued by IMD regarding forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall likely to occur in Jagatsinghpur district due to the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjourning Gangetic West Bengal-North Odisha and keeping in view of the safety of the pre-school children, all the Anganwadi Centres of Jagatsinghpur District will remain closed on 27th July, 2026 Monday.”
Apart from Jagatsinghapur district, five other districts Jajpur, Kendrapada, Kataka, Anugola, And Dhenkanal have been included in the red warning zone for heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow.
Besides, the weather department has sounded orange warning saying heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamala, Puri, Khordha, and Nayagada.
