Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: PM Modi lays foundation stones, these 57 railway stations to be upgraded in Odisha

A total of 57 railway stations in Odisha will be upgradated as Prime Minister laid foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

New Delhi: A total of 57 railway stations in Odisha will be upgradated as Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme today via video conferencing.

The redevelopment, which will be done at a cost of more than Rs 24,470 crore, aims to modernise the railway stations which will provide modern amenities to the passengers and will over enhance the experience of commuting via railway.

The 57 railway stations of Odisha which will be upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme are Angul, Badampahar, Balangir, Balasore, Balugaon, Barbil, Bargarh Road, Baripada, Barpali, Belpahar, Betnoti, Bhadrak, Bhawanipatna, Bhubaneswar, Bimlagarh, Brahmapur, Brajrajnagar, Chatrapur, Cuttack, Damanjodi, Dhenkanal, Gunupur, Harishanker Road, Hirakud, Jajpur-Keonjhar road, Jaleswar, Jaroli, Jeypore, Jharsuguda, Jharsuguda Road, Kantabanji, Kendujhargarh, Kesinga, Khariar Road, Khurda road, Koraput, Lingaraj Temple Road, Mancheswar, Meramandali, Muniguda, New Bhubaneswar, Panposh, Paradeep, Parlakhemundi, Puri, Raghunathpur, Rairakhol, Rairangpur, Rajgangpur, Rayagada, Rourkela, Sakhi Gopal, Sambalpur, Sambalpur city, Talcher, Talcher Road, and Titlagarh Jn.

Out of the 57 station, only  25 stations including Sakhigopal, Mancheswar, Dhenkanal, Chhatrapur, Angul, Palasa, Meramandali, Balugaon, Lingaraj Temple Road, Talcher Road, Khurda Road, Kantabanji, Bargarh Road, Hirakud, Rairakhol, Barpali, Muniguda, Balangir, Harisankar Road, Mahasamund, Bhawanipatna, Khariar Road, Vizianagaram, Duvvada and Damanjodi have been identified to be upgraded in the first phase.
