All schools in Mayurbhanj district to remain closed tomorrow due to heavy rainfall waning
All types of government, government-aided, privately managed schools in elementary/secondary/Higher secondary level/Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAVs)/Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) along with Anganwadi Centres across Mayurbhanj district will remain closed tomorrow (on Monday).
Baipad: All types of government, government-aided, privately managed schools in elementary/secondary/Higher secondary level/Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAVs)/Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) along with Anganwadi Centres across Mayurbhanj district will remain closed tomorrow (on Monday).
Mayurbhanj District Education Officer (DEO) announced the closure of all the educational institutions tomorrow in view of heavy rainfall waning in the district as predicted by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The decision to close all the anganwadi centres and schools has been taken keeping in view of the safety of the students.
It is to be noted here that the weather department has issued red warning for Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghapur, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Kataka, Anugola and Dhenkanal for heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow.
This apart, the weather department also has sounded orange warning saying heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamala, Puri, Khordha, and Nayagada.
