All government and private educational institutions in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha have been declared closed today in view of continuous heavy rainfall.
Mayurbhanj: All government and private educational institutions in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha have been declared closed today in view of continuous heavy rainfall.
As informed by the District Education Officer (DEO) Purna Chandra Sethi of Mayurbhanj, all types of government, government-aided, privately managed schools, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAVs)/Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) along with Anganwadi Centres coming under its jurisdiction will remain closed today due to heavy rain alert.
It is to be noted here that the regional centre of the IMD has issued heavy rainfall alert for several districts of the state including Mayurbhanj.
The decision to close the educational institutions across the district has been taken as precautionary measures for the safety of the students.
