Bhubaneswar: Agniveers to get 10 percent quota and five-years of age relaxation in Odisha, announced Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday.

All the soldiers who have joined the Indian Army are our pride and glory, said the CM while speaking to the media persons today. The Agniveers also are well trained and are capable enough to play important roles in various security sectors, he added.

“The Agniveers scheme is a landmark scheme announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This scheme has helped to make the youth of the country capable, courageous and competent.  That is why we have decided to include them in the uniformed services of Odisha,” the CM said.

“The Odisha government has decided to provide 10 per cent reservation and five years’ of age relaxation in Odisha,” Majhi announced.
