8-year-old injured after being shot by air gun in Sambalpur, youth detained for questioning
An 8-year-old sustained injuries after being shot from an air gun during in Rasnapur village under Mirgamunda area of Sambalpur
Sambalpur: In a disturbing incident, an 8-year-old sustained injuries after being shot from an air gun during in Rasnapur village under Mirgamunda area of Sambalpur on Sunday.
As per sources, youth identified as Dibyanshu Purohit was firing the air gun, when the minor boy came infront of him and sustained injuries. The air gun hit the child’s right side armpit.
The injured minor was initially taken to Burla Medical College and Hospital for preliminary treatment. After his health condition deteriorated, doctors referred the minor to Sishu Bhavan in Cuttack for better medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the youth has been detained for further questioning and the police have seized the air gun used in the incident.
