8 injured as OSRTC bus and truck collides in Sambalpur dist

At least eight people were injured after the OSRTC bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Odisha's Sambalpur district.

Sambalpur: At least eight people were injured after the OSRTC bus they were travelling in collided with a truck in Odisha’s Sambalpur district. The incident occurred in bypass road under Jamankira police limits of the district.

According to sources, the Keonjhar-Balangir OSRTC bus collided with a truck parked at the road side. Due to the accident, nearly eight passengers got injured. The accident reportedly occurred at 3.00 am on Saturday. The injured were immediately rushed to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research in Burla.

After receiving information about the incident, fire service personnel and police also reached the spot and rescued the passengers trapped inside the ill-fated bus. The cops have also initiated a probe into the matter.
