Mayurbhanj: The AI camera has helped the Forest Department to nab six poachers in Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday. All the poachers nabbed belong to Baniadara village under Udala police station limits. As many as five guns, explosives and sharp weapons have been seized.

According to sources, the poachers armed with explosives, guns and weapons had intruded into the ‘core zone’ of the forest. The core zone is the highly protected area in a forest where even habitations are prohibited. This is because the animals usually move in this zone. The poachers had planned to hunt in this zone.
