54 arrested, 80 vehicles seized during special drive against illegal transportation of minerals in Odisha

Odisha police has intensified its drive against illegal lifting and transportation of minor minerals and arrested 54 people and seized 80 vehicles within two days.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha police has intensified its drive against illegal lifting and transportation of minor minerals and arrested 54 people and seized 80 vehicles within two days.

According to sources, following the direction of the DGP YB Khurania, cops launched the special drive against illegal lifting and transportation of minor minerals i.e. sand, moram, lateral soil etc. in all over district of Odisha.

During enforcement on 6.3.2025 & 7.3.2025, a total of 50 cases have been detected in different districts in which 80 vehicles loaded with sand, moram were seized while transporting sand and moram illegally with arrest of 54 accused persons.

The enforcement activity is going on and district have been instructed to take feed backs from local residents to make this drive success.
