Berhampur: In a rare incident, four youths were frightened with poisonous snake to keep them as hostage following their kidnap in Ganjam district of Odisha recently. The incident took place in Chikitigarh area under K Nuagaon Police Station limits.
As per reports, three youths of Cuttack and a youth from Delhi were kidnapped recently and they were kept as hostage in a hut in the backside of the house of Nutan Patra in Chikitigarh area under K Nuagan Police Station limits in Ganjam district.
Importantly, the youths could not escape from the grip of the abductors as they were being frightened with the help of a poisonous snake.
Of course, after some time one of the four hostages managed to escape and informed the villagers about it when Police came to know about the crime.
Soon, the four youths were rescued by Police and local people.
It was also illegal marijuana plantation witnessed at the spot where the youths had been kept as hostage. Police, after reaching the spot, rescued the youths and cut the illegal marijuana plants. Further investigation of the case is underway.
