3 lives lost due to lightning in Odisha, details here

Bhubaneswar: Lightning in Odisha took three lives yesterday that is on Monday, said reports. There was severe lightning due to Kalabaisakhi.  According to reports, yesterday three people were killed and three people were injured due to the impact of lightning.

One person was killed in a lightning strike in Ganjam district’s Belguna. Two people were injured. The deceased has been identified as Balakrishna Bariha of Gotali village. While working outside the house, there was a lightning strike that hit him.  Doctors declared him dead at Bhanjnagar Medical Center in critical condition.

Further it is worth mentioning that, Amit Kumar Naik and Udayanath Naik of Patrapalli village were injured. They have been admitted to Bhanjnagar Medical Center for treatment.

Similarly, in Rayagada, a woman died due to lightning. The deceased has been identified as Salai Majhi of Naktiguda village of Rayagada Tikiri police station. Salai was killed due to lightning while going to the forest to collect mangoes.

Later, Arman Dhir of Jajpur Road Police Station Jenapur Police Station Garmadhupur and Kunal Gagarai of Kachhudi Sahir were returning home after completing their tuition, when lightning struck Arman and he died on the spot. Kunal has been admitted to the medical center in critical condition.
