3 Government servants nabbed by Odisha Vigilance for bribery/corruption

Bhubaneswar: As many as three Government servants have been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance on Friday for bribery/corruption.

In the first case, Ashwini Kumar Panda, OAS, the Tahsildar of Bamra in Sambalpur district has been arrested for demanding and taking bribe Rs 15,000 in a land mutation case.

Similarly, Chittaranjan Rout, the District Labour Officer (DLO) of Nyagarh has been nabbed for demanding and taking bribe of Rs 6,000 for issue of labour cards to poor labourers.

And in the third case, Miss Puspita Mahakud, the PEO of Mayurbhanj has been nabbed for embezzlement of government funds meant for distribution to senior citizens as Old Age Pension.
