Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government had modified guidelines and allowed students who have already taken admission after phase I of UG counselling, to participate in the phase II admission process under SAMS.
Earlier, the department had announced that the students, who had locked their choice, would not be eligible for second-phase admission.
“The earlier decision was taken since the admission process was getting stretched. However, several students were not aware of it since they had applied through centres. New rules are being implemented following requests from such students,” the Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj added.
The process began on July 12 and will continue till August 26.
