2 minor boys’ death in Nayagarh: Father, grandmother arrested for murder
The accused father allegedly killed his two minor sons and hanged their bodies from the asbestos to show it as a case of suicide, but truth came out in Police investigation
Nayagarh: In the case of the two minor boys getting killed in a village in Nayagarh district of Odisha on March 10 earlier this week, Police have found out the truth and arrested the father of the deceased minor boys for their murder. During the investigation it was found that the father himself killed his two minor sons and hanged their bodies from the asbestos to show it as a case of suicide. Yet, finally Police busted the case within 3 days and arrested the culprit. The grandmother (father’s mother) of the deceased minor siblings has also been arrested for helping her son in the murder of her grandchildren. The incident took place in Dhanchangda village under Fatehgarh Police Station limits.
As per reports, Prakash Mohanty, son of Achyut Mohanty of Dhanchangada village, got married 15 years ago. He has two sons. The eldest son is 14 years old and the younger son is 11 years old. Prakash’s wife Kum died 3 years ago.
Recently, Prakash got a proposal for his second marriage. As the elder son was not in favour of the second marriage of his father, his father decided to kill the two sons so as to go for the second marriage without any hassle.
Accordingly, he killed the two minor siblings, his own two sons, and hanged their bodies so as to show it as a case of suicide.
However, not getting convinced to accept the suspicious death as normal, the maternal uncle of the deceased boys lodged a complaint claiming it to be a case of murder. Accordingly, police investigation was initiated and it was found that Prakash, the father of the minor boys only killed them in which the grandmother helded.
Nayagarh SP informed that Prakash and his mother, the two accused persons of this murder case, who have been arrested, will be forwarded to the Court today.
