Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced a 2 percent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of the Odisha government employees.

As a result, the dearness allowance of government employees has increased from 53 percent to 55 percent.

This will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2025. This increased dearness allowance will be available in cash in the current April salary.

Along with this, the TI (Temporary Increase) of Odisha Govt employees who are now on pension, has also been increased by 2 percent. They will also get this increased TI in the April pension accordingly.

This increase will benefit about eight and a half lakh State government employees and pensioners.
