Patnagarh: There has been a 12-hour bandh in Patnagarh on Saturday, the shutdown call from 6 am to 6 pm shall be effected.
According to reports, all institutions and services will be closed except for emergency services. There will be a railway track blockade also.
The bandh has been called in support of a longstanding demand. Since 2012, there has been a demand for the Nuapada via Patnagarh railway project in Balangir, but nothing has been done so far in this regard.
This is the fifth time that the bandh has been called in this regard, but action is yet to be taken in this regard.
