Udala: One head of cattle was burnt alive as a pick-up van carrying cattle illegally caught fire after the driver lost balance and overturned to the roadside at Podadiha square under Kanthipada police station limits late on Monday night. Locals protested this unpleasant accident.
The pick-up van carrying cattle was coming from Katuria village towards Udala with eight heads of cattle. However, one head of cattle died while the seven others were rescued safely. The fire brigade reached the spot and brought the raging fire under control. The smugglers somehow managed to evade the scene.
