Women take a dip in Yamuna River on 1st Day of Chhath puja ignoring toxic foam

A few women were seen taking a dip in Yamuna River near Kalindi Kunj in Delhi though the water body was filled with toxic foam. According to reports the women were in Yamuna to celebrate the rituals of Chhath puja that began today.

News Agency ANI posted a video on its Twitter handle where it was seen that saree and salwar kamiz clad women were taking bath in the River ignoring the white foam that is said to be toxic.

The video and photos of a thick layer of toxic foam floating on the water of the Yamuna have gone viral.
