In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old woman allegedly kills self after murdering her 4-year-old son on Saturday. The incident reportedly took place at Chaukhata village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district.
According to the statement given by police, a case has been registered based on complaint filed by the woman’s father.
The victim has been identified as Pinky who was married to Ranjeet Kumar Rajput and had a four-year-old son Mohit. During the investigation it was revealed that Ranjeet worked and lived in Gujarat, he would send money to his wife and child every month. In a statement given by the relatives, it was also revealed that the couple had a fight over the latter’s job in Gujarat which led the woman to kill self and murder their son.
As per the statement given by police officials, “Pinky allegedly killed her son and then hanged herself in a room on Saturday night. Ranjeet’s family members broke open the room on Sunday morning and found Mohit’s body on the floor with Pinky hanging from the ceiling.”
Pinky’s father accused that her in-laws have plotted and killed the mother-son duo. He said that Pinky was subjected to dowry demands after marriage which led to dispute in the family.
Case has been registered and the exact cause of the deaths is yet to be ascertained.
Further investigation is underway.
